"Nite Stick 2020" - So this is a spoof on a 1990's comic trend that's set in the year 2099 to reference the new year of 2020. Get that? So many a comic book fan will tell ya that the 90's were an odd time for comics. With so many big artists leaving Marvel and DC to create Image Comics a new style emerged thanks to new characters like Spawn. Marvel and DC tried to hop on this new trend and as a result a lot of new costumes popped up for iconic heroes. Among all this was a series of comics set in the future of 2099. I being a huge Punisher fan was introduced to this through him and even knowing it was the future was caught of guard with this look for him. Little did I know at the time what iceberg lied ahead filled with shoulder pads, spikes, big ass guns, and lots of pouches! Personally I think Nite Stick pulls this look off quite well!
